The details
Cookie policy.
One local preference record. No advertising profiles. Controls that remain in your hands.
1. Cookies and similar technologies
A cookie is a small value a website can ask your browser to store and return with later requests. LocalStorage is a related browser facility that stores values for a particular website origin without automatically attaching them to every request. Privacy rules can apply to both, so we use “cookie choices” as a familiar label for these controls.
The supplied Listlanternstorypuls website does not set HTTP cookies through its code. It uses one localStorage record to remember your privacy selection. The pages contain no advertising pixels, behavioural analytics, social-media embeds or remotely hosted fonts. The illustrated map is inline artwork and does not contact a map provider.
2. Our storage inventory
| Category | Name / provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Essential | llsp-cookie-consent-v1First-party localStorage | Remembers choice, optional category flags, timestamp and policy version | 180 days; checked on a later visit |
| Analytics | None installed | No audience measurement or visitor profiling currently occurs | Not applicable |
| Functional | None installed | No saved form drafts, third-party maps or personalisation tools | Not applicable |
The essential record contains no name, email address, message text or unique visitor identifier. Optional category flags merely record a selection; switching them on does not load any additional service in this build. This table must be updated before optional tools are introduced.
3. Accept, reject or choose individually
“Accept All” records both optional categories as allowed. “Reject Non-Essential” records both as disallowed. “Preferences” opens individual analytics and functional controls, with optional categories off unless you previously enabled them. Essential preference storage stays enabled because it is needed to honour your requested selection without repeatedly asking.
You can reopen the controls through “Cookie preferences” in every footer or the button below. Saving a different selection replaces the earlier one. Rejecting optional categories does not reduce access to articles or the contact tool. No optional technology runs before a choice, and none is currently implemented afterwards either.
4. Expiry, blocked storage and separate devices
LocalStorage has no automatic expiry mechanism. Our script checks the saved timestamp and removes an expired record when you next visit after 180 days. If you do not return, the old record may remain until you clear site data. A material change to tracking purposes would require a new policy version and a fresh choice rather than treating an old acceptance as unlimited permission.
Preferences apply only to the current browser and origin. Another device, browser profile, subdomain or protocol can have a separate record. Private browsing may discard it when the session ends. If browser settings block storage, your choice applies to the current page, but the banner can reappear on navigation; the page displays a notice explaining that limitation.
5. Browser opt-out instructions
In Chrome, open Settings, then Privacy and security, and find site data under the site-settings controls. Search for this domain and delete its stored data. In Edge, use Settings, Cookies and site permissions, then the controls for managing and viewing cookies and site data. Menu labels can change between versions.
In Firefox, open Settings, Privacy & Security, Cookies and Site Data, then Manage Data. In Safari on macOS, choose Settings, Privacy, Manage Website Data, and remove this domain. On iPhone or iPad, look in system Settings under Safari’s advanced website-data controls. Clearing all browser history is not necessary if you only want to remove this site’s preference.
You may also block third-party cookies globally. Blocking all site storage prevents us from remembering rejection, but it does not activate tracking. Browser “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signals do not need to disable a sale or sharing process here because this build performs neither.
6. Hosting and further questions
A hosting platform may add security or operational storage independently; the deploying operator must audit and disclose any such additions. The generated café identity and address are illustrative, as explained in the privacy policy. Questions about this implementation can be addressed to [email protected], subject to verification that the concept mailbox has been activated.
